Every year state run universities conduct their own entrance tests for admissions into professional colleges. Although medical entrance tests are merged with NEET, engineering entrance tests are conducted independently by state governments. State govt run universities conduct exams and allocate seats to various colleges all over the state.

The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test abbreviated as  AP EAMCET is conducted by JNTU Kakinada and APSCHE..

Assam CEE


 DTE conducts the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (ACEE)through Assam CEE, candidates can get admission to undergraduate engineering programme into the state and private colleges of Assam.



Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) conducts BCECE for the admission into B.Tech programmes offered by the participating engineering colleges of the state.


Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) conducts the CG PET for admissions into undergraduate engineering programmes in state colleges.



Candidates seeking admission into undergraduate engineering courses in the state engineering colleges of Goa will have to appear and qualify GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) 2018.



Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts GUJCET. Through GUJCET (Gujarat Commont Entrance Test) candidates belonging to the state can get admission in over 112 participating institutes of Gujarat.


The Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts HPCET. Candidates of the state can get admissions into the 4 government and 13 private engineering institutes of Himachal Pradesh.


Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JEECEB).


JKCET conducts J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE). The state level entrance examination is meant for B.Tech admissions into participating engineering institutes..


Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET (Karnataka –Common Entrance Test) every year. The state level engineering entrance exam offers admission to various B.E programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnataka.



Kerala Engineering and Medical (KEAM) is conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) in offline mode. It provides admission into B.Tech programmes offered by various Government colleges, and Private Colleges located in Kerala.


DTE Maharashtra conducts Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) in offline mode. It offers admissions into various participating institutes located in the six regions of Maharashtra – Amaravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik and Pune.


Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) conducts the TJEE through which candidates will be able to get admissions into 4 major institutes in the state. 



JNTU, Hyderabad conducts TS EAMCET for the TSCHE – the Telangana State Council for Higher Education.






UPSEE is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in offline mode. Through state level engineering entrance examination, candidates can get admission into more than 600 engineering institutes in Uttar Pradesh.


West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts WBJEE for admissions to B.Tech course in the Government and Self Financing Engineering & Technological institutes of the state.
